Choosing Larry Ihle as the builder of my Ocracoke island getaway was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the beginning he was attentive and easy to work with but also very detail oriented. Building a home long distance was made a pleasant experience and the outcome could not have been better. It’s a cut above.
Larry builds quality and takes great pride in his work and it shows. The house has gone through several hurricanes since it was finished including Isabelle and has yet to lose a shingle. This fall I am contemplating a small remodeling project on my home and would not think of looking for anyone but Larry Ihle to do the work.
I can only give my highest recommendations for Larry and his company.

We have worked with Larry Ihle on several projects, and when it came time to move to Ocracoke full time we didn't even consider any other builder. We can confidently attest to his quality, attention to detail, integrity and ability to stay on time and on budget. Larry has a great relationship with his subcontractors, as well as many connections off the island for furniture, appliances, etc. - all which make the process run smoothly. We were especially impressed with his handling of the challenge of building a beautiful home on an island. Having materials being brought in by ferry is a unique situation which results in many scheduling challenges. Larry still managed to complete the job on time and within budget. We highly recommend Larry Ihle and are forever grateful for our beautiful dream home.
